If you have submitted your application in person, your eHR may be shared once your registration is in effect (i.e. no need to be activated).
If you have submitted your eHRSS Registration online, fax, mail or drop-in-box, you may activate your record with your identity document (e.g. Hong Kong Identity Card) when you next visit a registered private healthcare provider providing healthcare to you. You may also activate your record by visiting any eHR Registration Centres in Hospital Authority (HA) or Department of Health (DH), or eHR Registration Office.
If you register for your child (aged under 16) or a person incapable of giving consent, you may activate his/her record when you and him/her next visit a registered private healthcare provider providing healthcare to him/her. You may also activate his/her record at any eHR Registration Centres in HA or DH, or eHR Registration Office with him/her. Please remember to bring the original supporting documents for identity verification.
Afterwards, your registration in eHRSS will be effective and you will receive a notification of your successful registration.
